Amongst the twists and turns that have been my career pathway, I have realised my passion resides in costume.
Having studied fashion, believing myself a pioneer for plus size and mastectomy wear, it became apparent I needed creative freedom, collaboration and creating garments that are valued.
Having achieved a background in fashion, I felt it imperative to further my education in costume. This led to my MA in Costume Making which taught me so much and had a collaborative element, in which I didn’t realise was lacking in my current career trajectory.
Throughout my degree, my master’s and even before my university education, I was always on the look-out for local opportunities within the film and media to help gain the sought after experience necessary to acquire a job in the competitive field, that is costume.
Having worked freelance in costume for a couple of years, this has only stoked the fire and I am forever looking to develop my skillset within this industry.
